Questions people ask
Which file should I download?
Each install guide marks one file as Recommended — pick that one unless you know you need something else. The others are under Other versions:
- Regram keeps Instagram's original identity, so it can get its own notifications when it's signed with a certificate that includes them.
- Duplicate builds install next to the App Store Instagram instead of replacing it — the way to go with a free Apple ID, where Instagram keeps delivering your notifications.
- TrollStore builds only install through TrollStore. Anywhere else they crash the moment you open them.
Will I get notifications?
With a jailbreak or TrollStore, yes.
On a sideload, it depends on the signature:
- A certificate with push notifications and App Groups — your own developer account, or one you've bought: the regular Regram build gets notifications itself.
- A free Apple ID (AltStore): a free signature can't carry notifications, so install Regram (Duplicate) next to the App Store Instagram and let Instagram deliver them.

Notifications only say “You have a new notification”
That's usually Regram's Fix Emojis & Popups option. See the fix.
The app stops opening after 7 days. How do I keep it?
That's the free AltStore signature running out. AltStore refreshes it automatically as long as your iPhone and computer are on the same Wi-Fi and AltServer is running.
